Help us with reaching our goal to have Summer Art Camp!
This summer, drawchange's Art Camp will provide children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in our shelter programs with a safe space to create and express themselves through art. Your support of an Art Camp scholarship helps ensure that every child has the opportunity to participate, regardless of their circumstances.
In last year’s Art Camp scholarships and this year’s previous Art Camps, we served 37 children from across Metro Atlanta.
Each scholarship recipient receives lunch and a daily snack, along with access to engaging art camp activities. Children leave camp with their completed art projects, allowing them to continue creating and expressing themselves at home.
Our Art Camp gives children the opportunity to:
Develop lifelong skills such as communication, collaboration, and problem-solving through hands-on art projects.
Build self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment.
Make new friends and be in a safe and supportive environment.
What sets drawchange’s Art Camp apart from other Atlanta art camps is our art-therapy-informed approach. We aim to create an environment where children can learn and heal through the art.
